I came to know Leroy as my husband’s fellow graduating student from Alba High School. We continued our friendship for very many years, my having known Sandy as a sister to a very good high school friend, Sue. When Sue was married, we had the honor of traveling South to Indianapolis to participate in her wedding, and Sandy and Leroy were our unofficial hosts. We had a wonderfully fun time with those two following the wedding ceremony. Their children were
so young at the time, and then later years I had the good fortune of reacquainting with Jim. He stopped by my work at the County Building, and allowed me
to renew the friendship. Leroy will most definitely be missed, but we know he’s gone to a place of peace, contentment, and no pain! Best wishes, Buddy.

Albert said yes to my facebook friend invitation. Living out in California, we didn’t know that Great Uncle Albert had any family. His grandson Albert Leroy quickly recognized a picture with me and my Grandma Gladys Colter and Grandpa John Converse as his Aunt and Uncle. It was so nice to connect with my family roots back in Indianapolis and Michigan. Caroline McGeorge had contacted my mother (Helen St. George) about seven years ago to get details for the family tree. My mother was under the impression that we were the only grandchildren from Ann Colter. How fun to find soooo many new cousins and see pictures of distant family and new babies etc. There are just a few of us in California. We still carry the faith that was taught to all of Ann Colter’s children and know that Albert Leroy is in heaven now. No more pain no more sorrow. Praise the Lord. I will miss seeing his Facebook posts. He always “liked” my pictures and conservative posts. Reaching out and making a difference till the end.
