Charles Perkins

Charles L. Perkins, 65, of Frankfort passed away May 16, 2013 in Kokomo. He was born March 20, 1948 in Monticello, KY to Ed and Willie Mae (Winchester) Perkins. Mr. Perkins served in the United States Army from October 1969 to October 1971 where he served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 18 years. His memberships included the Frankfort VFW and the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the Memorial Parkway Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Michelle (David) Schluttenhofer of Mulberry and Stephanie Griggs of Kokomo; Son: Shannon Perkins of Ozark, MO; Brother: Shelby Joe Perkins of Jefferson; Sister: Mary “Mo” McDaniel of Jefferson; and 8 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Bunnell Cemetery. Pastor John Stultz will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Parkway Church of Christ, envelopes will be available at the service. Archer-Weston Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
