    Jackie, Jodie and family,
I’m so sorry to hear of your great loss. Dave was a gifted man of God with an active sense of humor. He used to tell me, a funeral director, that when he passed, to think of the song, “Spirit in the Sky”. It has been going through my head all evening. Though he wanted no service, I will think of him with fondness whenever I hear that song. Know, too, that I am thinking of you during this tough time.

  38. Vic and Eva Bell March 8, 2016 at 10:14 pm

    Dear Jackie and Family

So many fond memories at Braceville and Maplewood. It was a pleasure for us to see Dave grow and mature in the Lord. You two were such a great couple and complemented each other so well–a great team! Vic remembers some fun times playing softball in a church league together. Fond memories. We’ll always remember a Sunday at Maplewood when Dave started to raise a great question for the congregation; and before he finished, Jodi piped in with “Beats me, Dave”. That got a great laugh from everyone. Can’t wait to meet him again in heaven.

    Love Vic and Eva

  39. Joe Thomas April 21, 2016 at 9:35 pm

Dave was a good friend through my years at Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp in the 1980’s. He was one of the counselors during the Life Recruit week deaned by Ron Mosier where my decision to preach was solidified. My prayers go out to the family. Dave was a gift to many, many youth and others and a faithful servant to the King.
