Dorothy L. Long age 91 of Monticello a longtime Lafayette resident passed away December 12, 2008 in Whispering Pines Healthcare in Monticello. Born May 8, 1917 in Huntington, Indiana to Roy C. & Erma (Heilman) Fink. She married Morris C. Long December 26, 1937 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1950. She retired from the Brown Rubber Company in Lafayette in 1964 and was self-employed as a housekeeper for several families after her retirement. Surviving her is a son: Jack Long (wife Diana) 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. A loving niece Janet Roth Peeler of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. No visitation is planned and private family services will take place with burial in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials appreciated to Whispering Pines Healthcare Center 410 Tioga Rd Monticello, IN 47960 Arrangements entrusted to Archer-Weston Funeral Home.

    Dear Family of Dorothy Long, I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one. You can be assured that hope and encouragement needed is found in the Bible.
