Fred Melvin Hensley age 74 of Frankfort passed away March 27, 2008 in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.Born July 1, 1933 in Kirklin, Indiana to Lawrence B. & Sylvia M. (Smith) Hensley.? He was a 1953 graduate of Kirklin High School.? He worked 38 years for Purdue University in Inventory Control retiring in 1995.? He was a member of Kelley Crossing Church of God, Frankfort Eagles Lodge, and a past member of the Moose.? He married Marie Shoulders and she preceded him in death.? Survivors include 2 sons: Samuel P. Hensley of Bringhurst, and Dwight D. Hensley of Frankfort, 2 daughters: Penny JoAnn Tucker of Gulf Breeze, FL and Rose Darlene Balko of Northville, MI. 2 stepchildren: Jack Shoulders and Mrs. Bob (Sandra) Coy both of Frankfort.? 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive along with 4 brothers: Glenn D. Hensley of West Port, IN, John H. Hensley of Frankfort, Phil D. Hensley of Bradenton, FL and Dwight D. Hensley of Indianapolis.? He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a stepson, 1 sister and 3 brothers.? Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday March 31, 2008 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery at Kirklin.? Friends may call 4-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.? Memorials appreciated to Kelley Crossing Church of God.

    I am so sorry to hear about the death of your father, he was a very special man. I will always remember the times I stayed all night at your house playing cards and watching stupid WWI wrestling, and listening to your dad speak chinese, japanese, or whatever it was that he heard all day long at work!!!!!! He is a memory in my childhood that I will not forget.
