Gary, Michael, Debbie and children – So sad for your loss.

Jack was my 1st cousin, twice removed through my grandmother’s (Bessie Mae Venis) side of family. My mother (Phyllis Ann (nee Dewey) Hamilton spoke of your father when I querried her of family history. My om passed in 2015 and still miss her today, Jack’s sister (Mabel “Dollie” Lanum) was my great grandmother.

I am an amateur family historian doing genealogical research of family heritage on both my parent’s ancestral lines. Maybe we can exchange some historical finds in future. But for now, take some time to reflect and think of the good times and memories you have of life with your dad and mom.

    Again, sorry for your loss.

I’m sorry to hear this. I’m Marvin’s grandson. Greg’s son. I remember being at my grandfather’s wake, walking down the aisle way, with a plate of food. Jack stopped me and said, “You must be a Lanum. ” And I took one look at him, and thought I was seeing my grandpa again. They could’ve been twins. I miss my grandpa, as, I’m sure you miss yours. I remember going to family reunions in Frankfort too. Playing on the train… good times. We all go too soon…
