Joyce Birch

Joyce R. Birch age 75 of Frankfort passed away November 12, 2008 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born December 7, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to Harold & Myrtle (Hawes) Raidt. She was a 1950 graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. She married George ?Buddy? Strode in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1955. She married Fred Birch September 14, 1992 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1999. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and retired as the office manager at WILO Radio after 20 years. She also worked for the Clinton County Division of Family & Children before retiring. Surviving is a son: James A. Strode (Margie), a daughter: Sandy Bailey (Marty) both of Frankfort. 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 3 stepchildren: Tom Birch of Frankfort, Debbi Leitzel (John) of Noblesville, and Sharon English of Reno, NV one brother: Joe Raidt of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, a daughter, a grandson, and a brother. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 14, 2008 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials appreciated to Clinton County Humane Society.
