Lorin Smith

Lorin Othel Smith age 78 of Frankfort passed away December 19, 2008 at the home of his son in Colfax where he had been staying. Born May 25, 1930 in Frankfort to Otis C. & Ruth (Strain) Smith. He married Reta E. Rich on October 31, 1953 in Williamsville, N.Y. and she preceded him in death January 7, 1998. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, he was a member of Frankfort American Legion and VFW and the Beard Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. He retired in 1990 from Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette where he worked 37 years. Surviving is a son: Keith A. Smith of Colfax, a daughter: Lorena Kay Bushman (Allen) of Frankfort. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and a sister. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday December 23, 2008 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home with Masonic Memorial rites held at 7:30 PM Monday. Memorials appreciated to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.
