Mary I. Schimmel;Mary Irene Schimmel age 97 of Mulberry Health & Retirement Community passed away February 5, 2008 in Home Hospital Emergency Room. Born November 26, 1910 in Clinton County, Indiana to George A. & Estella B. (Beard) Stewart.? She was a member of the Kilmore United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women&’s Society, Red Cross Volunteer, and enjoyed Genealogy.? She worked for the former Jules L. Simon Co. in Frankfort and had also worked for Kemps & DelMonte Inc., Methodist Children&’s Home in Lebanon, and for Girl Scouts of America.? She married William W. Schimmel on February 9, 1928 in Clinton County and he preceded her in death November 10, 1958.? Surviving is a son: George M. Schimmel (Gloria) of Frankfort, a daughter: Linda I. Swain (David) of South Padre Island, TX? 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren also survive as does 1 brother: George F. Stewart of Frankfort, 2 sisters: Vera Ruth Moore of Elkhart, and Janet Rhine of Frankfort.? She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.? Funeral services will be held 3 PM Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home.? Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery.? Friends may call after 1:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.? Memorials appreciated to Kilmore United Methodist Church or Girl Scouts of America.?
