Trela F. Avery

Trela F. Avery, 87, of Frankfort passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Clinton House Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on April 22, 1929 in Clinton County to Robert and Nettie (Reagan) Wilden.  She attended Michigantown School.  She married Ernest L. Avery in 1948 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1999.  She worked for Wilderness Industries and for Aristocrat Industries for 8 years.  She was a member of Colfax Christian Church.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating.

Memorial donations may be made in Trela’s honor to Great Lakes Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Visitation and Services

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center in Frankfort.  Friends may visit from 1p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Pastor Karen Bray will officiate.  Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery.

Survivors include her Son:  Jerry (Charlotte) Avery of Frankfort;  Daughter:  Denise (Stephen) Jacobs of West Lafayette;  4 Grandsons;  1 Granddaughter;  & 4 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her husband, a step son, a great grandson, 6 sisters, 3 brothers, a half-brother, and a step brother.

    We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and mother-in-law. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. When we experience such losses we have found comfort in bible text such as 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 that tells us we can look to Jehovah God for comfort. We so enjoyed our visits with you and know that friends and family and your wonderful memories of your mother will sustain you in the days ahead.
