William “Bill” E. Zwyers

William “Bill” E. Zwyers, 90, of Frankfort passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Milner Community Health Care. He was born on June 23, 1924 in Frankfort to Elmer and Maude E. (Edrington) Zwyers. He married Betty A. Stoner on January 8, 1950 in Cook County, IL and she survives. Bill was a 1943 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended college in Chicago. He served in the United States Navy Armed Guard from June 1943 to February 1946 during World War II. He was a member of First Christian Church in Frankfort, the Frankfort Moose Lodge and the VFW Post 309.

Visitation and Services

A graveside services was held on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort with Pastor Cliff Howell officiating. Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center was honored to assist the Zwyers family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's honor to the Frankfort Moose Lodge C/O Ron Bradley, 2880 East Wabash Street, Frankfort, IN 46041.

Survived by:

Surviving along with his wife Betty are his Son: William E. Zwyers of Thorntown; Daughter: Sue Zwyers of Lafayette; Granddaughters: Amy Ritter of California and Angie Kingery of Flora; and 4 Great-grandchildren.

Preceded by:

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Alice Wright.
