Charlene Ester Mae Smith, 85, of Frankfort, IN passed away at 2:27 p.m. December 31, 2011 at Wesley Manor. She was born July 30, 1926 in Mt. Vernon, IL to William & Pearl Mae (Marshall) Richardson. She married Darrell W. Smith on October 13, 1945 in Morganfield, Kentucky and he survives.;Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School in Illinois and attended college. She was a homemaker. Charlene loved painting, bird watching, writing letters to pen pals and above all else, she loved the Lord.;Surviving along with her husband are 3 Daughters: Carolyn Sue (Fred) Davis of Frankfort, Patricia (Robert) Cline of Frankfort, and Marilyn Zook of Avon, 4 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.;She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, son-in-law, Keith Zook and a great grandchild, Chelsea, our angel.;Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Kilmore Cemetery. Archer-Weston Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I have so many fond memories of our high school years & laters as our families began to grow. Spent many a Sunday dinner with the family after Church.
