Charles Ray Heater age 67 of Rochester and formerly of Frankfort passed away July 1, 2008 in Rochester Life Care Center after a lengthy illness.? Born May 10, 1941 in Ravenswood, West Virginia to Jonathan & Margaret (Knox) Heater.? He served in the US Army doing two tours in Vietnam during his career of the Army and retired after 20 years.? He also worked after his retirement for Gem City Cab, Clinton County Hospital, and Frankfort Municipal Airport.?? He married Wilma J. “Willie Jae” Greer Thomas on April 3, 1992 in Frankfort and she survives.? also surviving are his children: Charles “Wes” Heater of Zionsville, Richard Thomas of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Robert M. “Slim” Thomas and Joseph E. Thomas both of Frankfort, Shellie Bray Smith of Lebanon, Sara L. Heater of Vega, Texas, and Mary H. Thomas of Rochester.? 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.? He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.;No services are planned and he was cremated and his cremains returned to West Virginia in honor of his wishes.? Memorials in his memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.? Archer-Weston Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

    Twerp, you dad loved you very much and I always want you to remember that. Thank you for taking the time to come and spend time with him, I know it was hard to get away with all that you do for others where you are, but it meant more then you can know to him and us. We love you and I am so sorry that you have lost your dad.
