Charles Laflen Jr.

Charles Laflen Jr., 92, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  Born on June 4, 1924 in Boone County to Charles A. and Grace May (Curnutt) Laflen. He attended school in Boone County and served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1945.  Junior worked as a farm laborer, worked for Mallory Controls for 14 years, Harmeson’s for 9 years and retired from National Homes. He was a member of New Life in Christ Church and the VFW in Frankfort. Junior enjoyed woodworking.

Visitation and Services

A funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center in Frankfort. Friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 13th at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Palmer will officiate. Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the VFW in Frankfort, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Companion: Lucy Gaylor of Frankfort, Sister-in-Law: Wilma Laflen of Frankfort, Several nieces and nephews also survive.

his parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

    So sorry, I just found out today. He was a great man, sure going to miss him. This was a sad day for all of us, my dad had a heart attack when Jr. Passed away. God bless you all.
