David “Bud” Lee Blackburn, Jr.

David “Bud” Lee Blackburn, Jr., 45, of Frankfort, Indiana went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2021.  He was born on August 28, 1975 in Frankfort to David, Sr. and Jeanne (Emery) Blackburn and they survive.

A lifelong Frankfort resident, Mr. Blackburn attended Frankfort High School and later earned his GED.  He was passionate about fishing, art, auto repair, demolition derbies, and most importantly, his children, grandchildren, and family.  He was a member of the CMA Motorcycle Club.

Memorial donations may be made in David’s honor to Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center to assist with final expenses.

 

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be held 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton St., Frankfort.  A private family service will be held.  Burial will be held in Scott Cemetery, Frankfort.  Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.

Surviving along with his parents, David, Sr. and Jeanne Blackburn of Talbott, TN are his Sisters: Volinda (Antonio) Wolfe of Mooresburg, TN and Amanda (David) Gibson of Frankfort; Children: Jesse Montgomery of Frankfort, Adara Blackburn of South Carolina, David Blackburn III of Frankfort, Alyssa Ingram of South Carolina, Austin Pyle of Frankfort, Alyson Pyle of Frankfort, and Jordan Carson of Frankfort; Several Grandchildren; Nieces; and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: James L. and Evelyn Emery, paternal grandparents: Lewis Blackburn and Ruth Royse, along with several aunts and uncles.

    Jenne & David so sorry he was way to young.
    Jerry talk to him a couple of times at the pawn shop and he came in to see a couple of times at the Mulberry P.O. I couldn’t believe how much he had grow up. David he was so proud of you and told us about you when ever he seen us. He is in God’s hands now.
