Doris Weber

Doris (Risse) Weber of Frankfort passed away at 6:02 p.m. December 15, 2010 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Mrs Weber graduated from Troy High School in 1939 and from Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing in 1942. She was a member of the Registered Nurses Association. She loved square dancing and was an avid seamstress and quilter. She was born January 22, 1921 in Michigan City to John S. and Callie R. (Carney) Risse. She married Cletus J. “Mike” Weber on January 4, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2001. Survivors include 2 sons: Daniel R. Weber and Stephen M. Weber (Cookie) of Frankfort;2 daughters: Christine R. Brittain (Mike) of Frankfort and Jenny K Andersen of Philadelphia;12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren;and 2 brothers: Joe Risse (Patty) of Fort Myers, FL and Steve Risse (Linda) of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be donated to Guardian Angel Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.

    I am so sorry for you loss. I loved your mother. she took such good care of me when I was sick. She bought a doll for me that I still have to this day. My mother, Vivian Behr, and your mother were best of friends for so many years. She is in my prayers and my thoughts.
