Eva Brittain

Eva S. Brittain, 92, Frankfort passed away January 27, 2011 St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Mrs. Brittain was born November 13, 1918 in Barren County Kentucky to Willie T. and Edna T.(Jones) Curtis. She married Guy Smith in Tomkinsville, Ky. and they later divorced. She married Cecil Emery Brittain in 1945 in Tomkinsville, Ky. and he preceded her in death in 1971. Mrs. Brittain worked at Mallory in Frankfort and retired from there in 1984. She was a member of the Church of Christ and also a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges in Frankfort. She loved to cook, knit, crochet, travel and spend time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Diana C. Elliott of Frankfort and Ginger L. Sandage of Frankfort; one son, Dale A. Brittain of Frankfort; one sister, Reva Best of Frankfort; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Terrell Curtis and a sister, Hila Woodruff. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday January 29, 2011 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Clinton House Health and Rehab Center with envelopes available at the funeral home.
