Evelyn F. Hooker, 94, of Plainfield and formerly of Frankfort passed away December 12, 2019 in her home. She was born on November 18, 1925 in Frankfort to John Herman and Estel Mae (Shelley) Vail. She married James P. Hooker on June 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1996.
Evelyn attended Frankfort High School and retired as matron of the TPA Park. She was a member of First Christian Church and the VFW. She enjoyed her family, fishing and playing cards.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A funeral service will begin at Noon following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.

Son: James R. (Tina) Hooker of Plainfield, Daughters: Stella A. (Al) Grossman of Florida, Beverly Jean “Jeanie” Joiner of Lafayette, Robin L. Hemmerling of Indianapolis, Veronica S. Crider of Ft. Wayne, Sandra K. Veach of Plainfield, amd many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded by:
her husband, sons: Max E. Vail, Ronald E. Hooker, and Rocky James Hooker, a son-in-law, Ronald Crider, and 8 brothers and sisters.
