Joseph W. Rich, 66, of Frankfort passed away August 12, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born May 28, 1947 in Clinton County to Paul L. and Ruth I. (Judd) Rich. He married Jacqualine (Behan) McKibben on April 6, 1984 and she survives. Joe served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1971. He drove a cab for Gem City Cab, drove a truck for the Clinton County Highway Department and also drove a truck for Farm Bureau Co-op. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion in Tipton and a Men’s Auxiliary in Frankfort. Surviving along with his wife, Jackie are daughters: Lynn Shell of Pell City, AL, Sherry Higgins of White House, TN, Tammy Shrum of Ashland City, TN, Tammie McKinney, and Lisa (Daniel) Caldwell both of Frankfort; son: Robert (Kelly) McKibben of Lebanon; 5 other step-children; brothers: Bud Rich of FL and Danny Rich of Kokomo; sisters: Rebecca Surber of VA, Lucy Burrer and Debbie Rich both of Elwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son: Davey Rich, sister: Polly, and 3 brothers: Jim, Jerry, and Don. Services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Jim Lybrook will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with envelopes available at the funeral home.

    uncle Joe was not just an uncle he was someone who you could call a friend im glad I got to spend some time with him at my grandmothers funeral…his mother… I so enjoyed it you will be missed and may you rip love rhonda

    Jackie, I wish I’d gotten to know you. My kids all remember their Uncle Joe from when they were little. I think of all of Don’s brothers often and my kids have heard lots of stories about the ‘old days’. I’ve kept in contact some with Becky and a bit with Janice and Danny. Too many deaths in this family in the last few years. Keeping you and the kids in our prayers. Dona

    I’ll sure miss you uncle joe, I’ll never forget the giant hugs and you always telling me I was your favorite niece, never forgetting who I was or calling me robin like most others did! That’s why I really did think I was your favorite..as you were my favorite uncle..I hope you’re with daddy and uncle Jerry playing cards and watching over us and make sure Derrick gets in on it too and tell him how much I love him and miss him, would you? I still need a brother, ya know? I love you always…love Tracey..
