Letha Street

Letha Jane Street, 88, of Colfax passed away November 13, 2012 at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 15, 1924 in Clinton County to Carl M. and Helen T. (Waggoner) Cook. She married Cloyse H. Street on April 19, 1943 in Tampa, FL and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2001. Letha graduated from Colfax High School in 1942. She worked for the Colfax Furniture Factory for 25 years and was a farmer and housewife. She was also co-owner of the Colfax Strawberry Patch Gift Shop. Mrs. Street was a member of the Colfax Christian Church. She loved woodworking and spending time with family at their cottage on the Tippecanoe River. Survivors include a Daughter: Janie Somers of Colfax; 2 Sisters: Nova Doty of Frankfort and Bessie Kline of Colorado; 3 Grandchildren: Travis (Melissa) Somers of Valparaiso, Jennifer (Shawn) Pletch of Zionsville and Joshua (Shãne) Somers of Thorntown; and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son: Jimmy Street, Son-in-law: Gerry Somers, Brother: Edward Cook, and a Grandson: Allen Somers Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 16 at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Collier will officiate. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery in Colfax. Memorial donations may be made to Colfax Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
