Retha (Dillman) Viney Hedge, 84, of Frankfort, passed away March 13, 2020 at Mulberry Health Retirement Community. She was born on May 12, 1935 in Harlan, Kentucky to Willis and Lilly Mae (Young) Dillman. She married Robert Viney and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1997. She later married Harley “Bob” Hedge and he preceded her in death in 2018.
Retha attended school in Harlan, Kentucky and was a homemaker. She also worked as a night manager at Lighthouse Inn in Frankfort for seven years. She attended Woodside Christian Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Frankfort where she was past president of the Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, and playing Bingo, but her true love was spending time with her girls and her grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Retha’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A Private Family Service will be held.

Surviving are her Daughters: Teresa Merritt of Amarillo, TX, Lora (Ed) Click of Pamona Park, FL, Helen (Steve) McGlothlin of Fishers, IN, and Janice (Carl) Kruger of Nappanee, IN; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and Siblings: Ulis (Myrna) Dillman of Willard, OH, Pauline Taylor of Frankfort, Wilma McIntosh of Frankfort, and Margie (Tony) Ray of Rosehill, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands along with her son-in-law: Dennis Merritt; great-grandson: Eric Austin; and her brother: Leonard Dillman.
