Robert Lee “Bob” Donoho, 87, of Rural Frankfort, passed away March 15, 2021 in his home.  He was born on July 12, 1933 in Frankfort to Jay and Almeta (Zerfus) Donoho.  He married Omia Jean Crick on June 29, 1957 in Frankfort and she survives.

Bob was a graduate of Frankfort High School and earned the rank of Sgt. in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, serving in Korea.  He worked as a Supervisor and Mechanic at Federal Mogul for 33 years, retiring in 1995.  He had also worked for Martin Electric for 50 years and Friends Electric for 8 years.  Bob was a member of the Frankfort Bible Holiness Church.  His other memberships included H.A.R.F. Racing Club and the American Legion Post 12.  Bob was a great story teller and everyone called him for boat repairs.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, birds & squirrels, and he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL  60707, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS  66675.  Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort.  Friends may visit from 12 Noon until the time of service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.  Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.

Surviving along with his wife: Omia Jean are his Sons: Randy Culp of Frankfort, Linzy Jay (Marcia) Donoho of Monticello, and Michael Allen (Connie) Donoho of Ohio; Sister: Pat Tidman of Angola; Grandchildren: Carleigh (Dustin) Perkins, Jessica Donoho, Dylan Culp, and Kayleigh (Ryan) Walker; and Great-Grandchildren: Drew, Tyler, Kalissa, Kassidee, Hayden, Nash, London, and Maddox.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings:  Kenny, Max, Gene, Charles, Everett, Fred, Beauty Reagan, and Barbara Dannin.

    We sure are going to miss Bob. Especially sitting out by the lake and talking and laughing for hours.He sure was always a pleasure to be around and just a great friend to me and my family.

    I worked with him at (National Seal) Federal Moguel, he was a good boss and a told a lot of funny stories.

    Sorry for your loss! I will miss him very much, he was a loving, kind man whose stories put a smile on everyone’s faces! I will think of him sitting in my recliner and teaching me how to make fish chowder! He certainly was a blessing in our lives! Rest peacefully with the angels, Bob!
