Samuel Woodrow Foreman age 97 of Frankfort passed away June 2, 2010 at his daughter’s residence in Michigantown. Born December 6, 1912 in Clinton County, Indiana to John S. & Azora (Plummer) Foreman. He was a graduate of Scircleville High School. He married Beatrice Wood on June 15, 1935 and she preceded him in death March 14, 2008. He farmed most of his life, and also worked several years at Rostone in Lafayette. Survivors include a daughter: Jacqueline Russell (Don) of Michigantown, 4 grandsons: Richard (Tina) Russell, John Russell, Greg (Dora) Russell, and Kyle (Carrie) Russell. 8 great grandchildren: Matthew, David, Tyler, Aaron, Allison, and Katelyn Russell, Dana and Kyle Hodges. 1 great great grandson: Lathen Ponton. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother and one sister. Friends may call 9-11 AM Saturday at Archer-Weston Funeral Home in Frankfort, Graveside services will follow at Whiteman Cemetery in Michigantown at 11 AM Saturday. Memorials appreciated to Michigantown United Methodist Church.

Facebook Twitter GoogleSam was a great guy. He was my 1st cousin, one generation removed. We used to have a great time teasing each other when I was a kid. I also worked for Sam on the farm from time to time. He was very kind and taught me a lot about getting along with people. He and Bea and my folks used to have suppers together and visit. I will miss him. 97 years old. A good, long life.
