Thelma “LaVerne” Paul

Thelma “LaVerne” Paul, 84, of Frankfort, passed away April 9, 2022 in her daughter’s home.  She was born on September 6, 1937 in Veedersburg, Indiana to William and Irene (Potter) Keene.  She married Harold L. Riley on April 22, 1955 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1970.  She married Jesse W. Paul on March 4, 1977 in Kokomo and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2007.

LaVerne was a graduate of Veedersburg High School.  She worked for National Seal for 20 years and at Marsh Supermarket for 12 years, both were in Frankfort.  She attended Antioch Christian Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks.  She enjoyed gardening and mushroom hunting.

Memorial donations may be made in LaVerne’s honor to the Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 455, Frankfort, IN  46041.

Visitation and Services

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort.  Friends may visit 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Kilmore Cemetery.

Surviving are her Children: James Riley and Debra Denman both of Frankfort; Sister: Marilyn Yvonne Keene of Crawfordsville; 5 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.  

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouses, sister: Wilma Earlene Keene Barnett, and a granddaughter: Amy Renee Denman.

    Laverne was great -grandma to my grandsons Tyler, Noah, and Owen Crockett. My prayers are with the entire family. She was a good lady and will be missed.

    My prayers are with her family , we worked in oil bath together so FM and we became close friends. We lost track when she went to marsh. I’ve often wondered what happened to her.She was a sweet kind lady❤️Sincerely Bonnie (Scolley)Dwigans
