David Mark Coffman, Sr.

David Mark Coffman, Sr., 81, of Frankfort, Ind., passed away September 19, 2024 in his home.  He was born on September 1, 1943 in Frankfort to Omer and Sibyl June (Galey) Coffman.  He married Judith Ann Scott on June 28, 1986 in the First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort and they later divorced.

David attended Owen Township Schools and earned his GED from Rossville Schools.  He served as an inspector for the Indiana State Highway Department for 10 years, retiring in 2004.  He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort.  David loved being outside especially enjoying gardening and fishing.  He enjoyed online puzzles and taking things apart and “tinkering”.

Memorial donations may be made in David’s honor to the Open Door Health Clinic, 2 East White Street, Frankfort, IN 46041.

Visitation and Services

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort with Pastor Gordon Smith officiating.  Friends may visit from Noon until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his Daughter: Kathy Ann Coffman; Sons: David Mark Coffman, Jr. of Frankfort, Michael Anthony Coffman of Frankfort, Joseph Terry Coffman, and Harold Wayne Coffman of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Harold Wayne Coffman Jr., Shea Coffman Smith, and Alexis Coffman.  Also surviving are 3 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Shane K. Coffman.

    I’m so sorry to see that Dave passed! He was a sweet man and we had several good times together with Shane! The only comfort is that he is with Shane. Thinking of his family and friends!
