Dorcel E. Howe, Sr.

Dorcel E. Howe, Sr., 62, of Frankfort, Ind., passed away November 9, 2023 in his home.  He was born on September 24, 1961 in Frankfort to Paul E. Howe and Shirley Jean (Miller) Ewing.

Dorcel was a graduate of Carroll High School.  He worked for Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) in Lafayette and had also danced as a Chippendale.  Dorcel didn’t know a stranger!  He enjoyed traveling and loved to cook – especially smoking food and homemade pizza.

Memorial Donations may be made in Dorcel’s honor to Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center to assist with final expenses.

Visitation and Services

In accordance with his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held 6-9 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at The Roscommon Pub & Grub, 1953 E. Wabash Street, Frankfort. Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center and Clinton County Crematory, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort are honored to assist the Howe family.

Surviving are his Children: Dorcel E. Howe, Jr. “DJ” (Wife: Haleigh) of Logansport and Kayla Smith (Husband: Jacob) of Lebanon; Siblings: Deborah Hudson of Frankfort and Mike Howe of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Aydenn, Lillian, and Theo Smith; and Very Good Friends: David Hill, David Hughes, and Walt & Stacey Myers.

    Dorcel was always a joy to talk to and be around when I visited with Kayla. His fun spirit will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

    Dorcel was my first love we went together in grade school and one year of junior high. We remained friends and broke up when him and his family moved from Frankfort. We stayed in contact when he moved back to Frankfort. I will miss you my Friend Love Always Kim (East) Harris
