What words can I say but I am so sorry. I remember doing go-carts out in the yard with Scott and Jeff when I was 14. I had so much fun with my younger cousins.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI did not know Jeff, but he was a couple of years older than me and I wrestled him once in high school. Tonight I was looking at the IHSAA wrestling state finals program from Jeff’s senior year and when I saw his name, I Googled him. I was saddened to find his obituary and I am sorry for your loss. I thought you might want to hear about what happened when I wrestled Jeff. He had me on my back in a cradle on the edge of the mat. I was bridging to try to avoid being pinned and I was trying to squirm out of bounds to get a reset. Jeff stood up, picked me up while still having the cradle locked up, carried me back to the center of the mat, laid me down on the mat, still in the cradle, and pinned me. I have always remembered that for obvious reasons. Getting my butt kicked by Jeff and other great wrestlers served as motivation for me as I worked to become a better wrestler. I just thought I would share that Jeff was a very tough guy back in the day, which I am sure you already knew, and which I am sure he was throughout his life. Peace to your family. Jason
