Robert D. “Bob” Haines, 79, of Colfax, passed away September 22, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on December 25, 1944 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Beatrice (Weir) Haines. He married Laura Waggoner on December 21, 1963 and she preceded him in death on November 16, 2008.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School and retired from Chrysler in Kokomo after 31 years of service. He was a member of the UAW 685 and also a member of the NRA. He loved being outdoors in nature and putting around his property on his gator. He especially loved cutting wood and enjoyed tinkering on Model A’s and John Deere tractors.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the funeral home. Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.

Surviving are his Son: Darrell Haines of Thorntown; Daughters: Angela Jenkins (Kent Scott) of Michigantown and Tonya (Shawn) Hudson of Darlington; Grandchildren: Shelby Millburg, Chelsi (Nash) Kelly, Kevin Hudson, and Cassidi Jenkins; Great-Grandchildren: Oaklyn, Lyric, Rexton, and Brantley; along with his Nephew: Nick Corcoran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Connie Gann and Vickie Corcoran, and his grandson: Levi Jenkins.
