Ruth L. Chappell, 98, of Frankfort, passed away September 13, 2022 at IU Health Frankfort Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1924 in Elwood to Raymond and Mary McDaniel. She married Jerrold Chappell Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Elwood High School and moved to Frankfort in 1952. She retired from Mallory Controls after working there for 20 years. She then worked for Marsh Grocery Store, retiring in 2007. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Frankfort and enjoyed reading biographies, cooking and loved to knit.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elwood Cemetery, 1000 South E Street, Elwood.

Surviving are her Daughter: Natalie (John) Blackburn of Frankfort; Granddaughters: Karrie Rae (Anthony) Larson of San Jose, CA and Kattie Rae Blackburn of Chicago, IL; and Brother: Wayne McDaniel of Ft. Wayne.
Preceded by:
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and a brother.
