Trecil A. Ricks, 80, of Kirklin, passed away March 6, 2022 in her home. She was born on June 2, 1941 in Frankfort to Norman and Chloe (Stowers) Snell. She married Larry Ricks on February 10, 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2006.
A lifelong Clinton County resident, Trecil attended school in Kirklin and worked at the National Cigar Factory, as a Nurse’s Assistant at Clinton County Hospital for 15 years, and then as a Private Nurse. She attended Scotland Christian Church and was a member of the Kirklin Fire Department Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed camping, sightseeing, and traveling – especially to Florida.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin.

Surviving are her Son: Jimmy (Angie) Ricks of Frankfort; Daughters: Janice Ricks and Joyce Ricks both of Kirklin; Grandchildren: Thomas Ricks of Kirklin and Jessie Furnish (Codie Riddell) of Camby; Great-Grandchildren: Joshua and Andrew Riddell; Sister: Rosie Hill of Vero Beach, FL; and Brother: Terry (Brenda) Snell of Frankfort.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
It is never easy. I remember her as a teenager and always will. She always came to bat for Terry and myself. Your family support will always be there.
