Velma Leazenby, 97, of Frankfort, passed away October 11, 2022 at Mulberry Health. She was born on May 19, 1925 in Bartholomew County to Asa and Myrtle (Pruitt) Boaz. She married Harold H. Leazenby on November 8, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1982.
Velma attended Owen Township Schools until 9th grade then moved to Rossville High School. She worked for Essex Wire in Lafayette, Superior Resistor in Rossville and Unilectric in Frankfort. She also cleaned several homes. Velma was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church and was a member of the JOY Group there. She enjoyed sewing and was known for her noodles.
Memorial donations may be made in Velma’s honor to the Rossville United Methodist Church, 110 W. Main Street, Rossville, IN 46065.
Visitation and Services
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Chapel of Peace in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort. Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort is honored to assist the Leazenby family.

Surviving are her Sons: Terry (Linda) Leazenby of Frankfort and Dan (Janice) Leazenby of Mulberry; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter: Donna Rodgers.
Velma was a wonderful woman and friend!! I will
miss her and her noodles!! Have fun in heaven playing cars and doing lots of puzzles with my Mom and all your friends!!!🙏❤️😘
