William “Jay” Funk, 50, of Colfax, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023. He was born on September 20, 1973 in Frankfort, to William “Bill” and Sherry (Lanum) Funk. He married Connie Dixon on December 16, 2000 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and she survives.
A Clinton County resident, Jay was a 1992 graduate of Western Boone Jr./Sr. High School and had farmed for Gable Brothers Farms for the past 9 years. He was a member of the Colfax Christian Church. He was an avid Purdue basketball and Denver Broncos fan. He loved supporting anything his kids participated in, whether it be sports or showing pigs in 4-H. He loved farming, but his greatest joy was family and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
