Alma Dickenson

Alma Elizabeth Dickenson age 78 of Michigantown, Indiana passed away November 24, 2010 in her residence. Born January 24, 1932 in Imboden, Virginia to Walter and Estella (Bishop) Moore. Ms. Dickenson retired from Wesley Manor Healthcare Center in Frankfort where she worked for 25 years. She came to Indiana in 1956 and was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries in Frankfort. She was a true believer in the Christian Faith and was a dedicated and loving mother. She is survived by her companion of several years: Webb Ferguson of Michigantown, IN, 3 sons: James Carl “Pete” Dickenson of Frankfort, IN, Billy Wayne Dickenson (Donicca) of Danville, IN, and David Lee Dickenson of Frankfort, IN, 3 daughters: Sandra Ellen Stockberger (Harry) of Frankfort, IN, Lisa Kay Birch of Monticello, IN, and Teena Estella Hatfield of Frankfort, IN, 5 brothers: James Moore of Greenwood, IN, Don Moore of Monticello, IN, Bill Moore (Thelma) of Indianapolis, IN, and Victor Moore (Charlene) of Frankfort, IN, Jerry Moore (Cheryl) of Monticello, IN, 1 sister: Patricia Cook (James) of Martinsville, IN, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Patsy Louise Dickenson in 1952, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, November 29, 2010 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2 ��“ 5 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
