Betty Lou Thurman, Age 84, passed away December 11, 2010 at the Heart Center of Indianapolis. Born September 22, 1926 in Clinton County, Indiana to Albert and Julia Anna (Jackson) Pippenger. She married Boyd Elmo Thurman on January 11, 1947 in Attica, Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1986. Mrs. Thurman worked at the Wesley Manor Healthcare Center in the Dietary Department from 1961 – 1971. She was a lifelong Clinton County resident and a 1944 graduate of Rossville High School. She was a member of Faith Family Ministries church. Survivors include 1 son: Dennis Duane Thurman of Frankfort, Indiana, 1 daughter: Sharra Jackson of Kokomo, Indiana, 1 brother: Donald Lee (Judy) Pippenger of Rural Frankfort, Indiana, 1 Granddaughter: Kimberly York of Frankfort, Indiana, 2 Great-Grandchildren and several step-grand and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, 1 daughter: Janice Adams, 2 brothers: William and Jack Pippenger. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home in Frankfort. Friends may call from Noon – 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Faith Family Ministries Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
