  4. Judie Bates

I know words can never make the pain of your loss easier so I would like to share with you how Carol impacted my life. She was truly my first friend in 8th grade – I was scared to death and she had an easy friendly smile. We weren’t ‘run around and do thing together friends’, we just shared some classes and ‘hung out’ at school . But we crammed a lot into that time together meeting at the lockers in the morning, eating lunch and walking together between classes! We maintained that friendship until I moved to California in 1958. Carol is one person I have never forgotten. I had recently located her through the Frankfort High Class of 60 website and I am so thankful I was able to reconnect with her – if only for a short time. Prayers are with you – God Bless Judie Bates
