Cathy Sue Mayfield, 65, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in her home.
She was born on March 12, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH to Howard J. and Naomi May (Farris) Mayfield. She was a 1969 graduate of Clinton Central High School and graduated in 1973 from Ball State University with a BS in Elementary Education. She was a Safety Director for Mayflower Transit for 23 years and had also worked for General Battery. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved to read.
Memorial donations may be made in Cathy’s honor to the American Diabetes Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
Visitation and Services
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center in Frankfort. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include her Sisters: Jean (Dan) Mayfield-Morelli of Bloomington, IN and Kandy (Ed) Cox of Frankfort; Brothers: Terry (Guyla) Mayfield and Barton (Lindy) Mayfield both of Frankfort; along with many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Ames and Hubert Mayfield.
Love to you all. Kathy was an awesome lady who I enjoyed visiting when I had the chance. Till we meet again. It’s not goodbye but see you later.

I left for Utah on May11 th and will be here until July 9th so won’t get to be there with you all but I wish I could. I love you all and will be praying for your family. I hope you can take comfort in knowing she is enjoying catching up with her family. I sure loved Naomi as well.
