Charles Edward “Charlie” Cottrell, 68, of Frankfort passed away February 8, 2020 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on April 2, 1951 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Chester and Mary (Bonham) Cottrell. He married Susan Sterling on July 8, 1974 in Frankfort and she survives.
Charlie attended Frankfort Senior High School and retired from Exide Battery after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed riding his motorcycles and tinkering in the garage. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s honor to the Eagles Lodge with envelopes available at the funeral home.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort.

Surviving along with his wife Susie are his Daughter: Stacie Lowe (Fiancé: Gregory Spires) of Brookston; Sons: Craig Cottrell (Fiancé: Makayla) of Frankfort, Kyle (Lindsy) Cottrell of Brookston, and Kaleb (Lauren) Petersen of Frankfort; Brothers: Ed (Sandy) Cottrell, Randy (Tina) Cottrell, and Larry (Terri) Cottrell all of Frankfort; Sister: Carolyn (Chris) Martin of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Kishla and Lindyn; Great Grandchildren: Kayden, Ava, Carter, Cooper, Bella, Aria, and one on the way along with Mother-in-law: Joan Sterling of Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Jerry Cottrell.
