Chester Brandenburg

Chester R. Brandenburg, age 80, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at his home after a lengthy illness with cancer. He was born February 24, 1930 to his parents Paul and Geneva Brandenburg.;He married Mary A. Amich Myers on April 24, 1953 and she survives. Chet worked at the Nickel Plate Railroad for 11 years before retiring in 1992 and from Delco in Kokomo after 31 years of service. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and also served in the US Army.;He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Brandenburg of Frankfort, daughter, Karen (Russell) Thompson of Frankfort, sons, Larry (Dorothy) Myers of Hillsdale and Don Baty of California, sister, Marge (Carl) Bell of Indianapolis, four grandchildren, Robb (Kim) Thompson of Frankfort, Stacey (Jim) McCarthy of Michigan, Shane Myers of Clinton and Jason (Jennifer) Myers of Hillsdale, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.;He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a grandson: Kevin Thompson.;Services will be held at noon Tuesday at the Archer-Weston Funeral Home in Frankfort. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Bunnell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund or Woodside Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.

    karen sonny..larry and donnie, am so very sorry to hear about uncle chet,,, had some really good time when we were all together and i did so care alot about him.. he will be deeply missed by many..because of health i can not come up ,, but have you all in my prayers and thoughts ,, ginger
