Darrell Burris, 56, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. He was born on May 12, 1957 in Frankfort to Henry R. and Serena O. (Foster) Burris. He married Davene Crockett and they later divorced in 1996.;Darrell was a 1975 Frankfort Senior High School graduate and worked for Exide Battery for 25 years. He moved to Indianapolis in 1998 and had worked for Eli Lilly since then. He enjoyed music and was in several bands.;Survivors include his Daughter: Deidre Burris of Frankfort, Son: Darrell Wayne (Alesha) Shelley of Colfax, Sisters: Joan Harris of Frankfort, Katy (Bryan) Williams of Colfax, Nancy (Mark) Lemen of Thorntown, and Marsha Burris-Cook of Frankfort, Brothers: Ronnie (Kelly) Burris and Jeffery (Corinne) Burris both of Frankfort, and 4 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister: Barbara King and daughter: Darla Burris.;A Service of Celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
