Glen B. Harlan age 90 of Colfax passed away June 25, 2009 in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born May 26, 1919 in Monroe County, Kentucky to Henry & Delma (Ferguson) Harlan. He married Ada M. Gerald on August 29, 1937 in Tomkinsville, KY and she preceded him in death August 25, 1992. He was a longtime member of the Colfax Volunteer Fire Dept. He owned and operated the Broadview Truckstop and later the Union 76 station in Colfax. Surviving are 2 daughters: Glenda Fearnow (Ken) of Scircleville, Shirley Hayes of Frankfort, 1 son: Stephen Harlan of Radcliff, KY, 1 daughter-in-law: JoAnn Harlan of Colfax, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 1 sister: Dorothy Belcher of Tomkinsville, KY and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, a grandson, a great grandson, 5 sisters, 1 brother, a daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday June 30, 2009 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home, burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
