James William Scott

James William Scott, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Kokomo.

He was born on October 28, 1942 in Joliet, IL to Clayton and Mary Lou (McGowan) Scott.  He lived in Kewanna, IN until joining the United States Army in 1964.  He was a graduate of Grass Creek High School in Fulton County.  He married Lisa Hsieh in December of 1972 and she preceded him in death.  He was a truck driver for the Indiana Department of Transportation.  James was honored in September 2017 by the VFW for his military service.

 

Visitation and Services

No services are planned at this time.  Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center is honored to assist with services for James.

Survived by:

Survivors include his Daughter:  Rosanna Maitland of Malibar, FL;  Sons:  Steven Scott of McDonough, GA, David Scott of Pittsburgh, PA, Thomas Scott, and James Scott, Jr.;  Sister:  Shirley Scott Haines (Husband:  Mike) of Plantation, FL;  Niece:  Kimberly Butterfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL;  Nephew:  James Butterfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL;  9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

    I was so sorry to read about Jim’s passing in our yesterday’s Rochester Sentinel. I have many fond school memories as a classmate of Jim’s for 12 years
    at Grass Creek School. Thoughts and prayers from the GCHS class of ’60! Carita (Rouch) Brown
