Larry Kay Bowen,76, of Colfax passed away 4/17/14 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. He was born on November 27, 1937 to John Bowen and Clara (Whitacre) Bowen. He married Judy K. Kelly on April 2, 1961 and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2011. Larry was a 1955 graduate of Colfax Schools. He also attended Indiana Business College. Larry was a bookkeeper for Ag Max, Colfax elevator, and retired in 2005 after working 35 years. He was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church. He enjoyed basketball, Indy car racing, and attending car shows. Survivors include his 2 Sons: Tim Bowen of Frankfort and Troy Bowen of Lebanon; Half Sister: Becky (Dennis) Perkins of Frankfort; 2 Sisters-in-law: Sherry Williams of Gary, IN and Shiree Williams of Ft. Wayne, IN; 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Larry to the Clinton County Cancer Fund. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.

Tim and Troy, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. He was a wonderful man, when ever I think of him I can not help but smile. He was the kindest man, I remember him coming to visit dad. Dad always enjoyed thier visits. You guy and your families will be in my prayers.
