Lewis A. Blackburn;Lewis Anderson Blackburn age 82 of Frankfort passed away February 11, 2008 in his residence.?;Born April 12, 1925 in Scircleville to Orville & Annie Blackburn.? He married Ruth A. Cheek on December 28, 1945 and they later divorced.? On October 10, 1979 he married Esther Lowder and she preceded his in death January 1, 1990.? He served in the US Army during WWII.? He was a member of American Legion Post #12 and VFW.? He worked for the railroad and then retired from Ingram Richardson.? He was an avid gardener and well known for all the lawns that he mowed for several years.? Surviving is a daughter: Patty King (Gary) of Morrisville, NC, 6 sons: John Blackburn (Natalie) of Frankfort, Paul Blackburn (Kim) of New Mexico, Jerry Blackburn (Mary) of Elwood, Dave Blackburn (Jeanne) of Morristown, TN, Steve Blackburn (Maureen) and Kenny Blackburn (Marsha) both of Lafayette.? 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and a sister: Phyllis Milburn of Michigantown.? He was preceded in death by a son Ron, and his wife Esther.? Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, February 15, 2008 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home.? Burial with military honors will follow in Scott Cemetery.? Friends may call 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.?
