Marjorie Helen Smith, 97, of Frankfort passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Clinton House Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 22, 1916 in Kilmore to Lawrence and Maggie Belle (Sheets) Lipp. She married Howard L. Smith on October 5, 1935 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1967.;Marjorie was a 1934 graduate of Frankfort High School and worked for Jules Simon & Co. for 8 years and the National Cigar Company for 9 years. She was a member of the Clinton County Mental Health Association, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Kilmore Church, Eastern Star and the Railroad Auxiliary. She attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Abdul Class. She enjoyed sewing and playing the piano.;Survivors include her 3 Sons: Jerry Smith of San Jose, CA, Donald (Janice) Smith of Lafayette, and Norman Smith of Frankfort, 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 daughters-in-law, and a great-granddaughter.;Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Chapel in Green Lawn Cemetery. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
