Martin “Marty” Dean Unger, 68, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born on August 22, 1948 in Frankfort to Martin VanBuren and Wilma Dean (Carter) Unger. He married Vicki Wagner on November 17, 1968 and she survives.
Marty is a lifelong Clinton County resident and a 1966 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters Union and locally worked for Turner and Sagamore Trucking. He was a member of the Tabernacle of Christ in Colfax and a member of the Moose Lodge #7. He was an animal lover and spent a lot of time reading his Bible and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Memorial donations may be made in Marty’s honor to the Tabernacle of Christ Church or to the family to assist with expenses. Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center is honored to assist the Unger family.
Visitation and Services
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Tabernacle of Christ Church in Colfax.

Surviving along with his Wife: Vicki of Frankfort are his Son: Evan (Nicole) Unger of Omaha, NE; Daughter: Erin Unger of Frankfort; Brother: Ron (Leah) Unger of Galesburg, IL; Sisters: Karen Gibbs of Frankfort and Lynne Martin of Mulberry; Grandchildren: Solar Ray Unger, Celine Sargent, and Celeste Sexton; and Great-Grandson: Aydan Sexton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Jason Unger in 1992.
