Michael D. Cooper, 65, of Frankfort, died September 18, 2020 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. He was born on February 21, 1955 in Frankfort to Robert and Carrie (Freels) Cooper. He was previously married to Kathy Maish and later married Carol A. McKinzie on September 16, 1995 and she survives.
Mike was a 1973 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School and retired from Frito Lay in Frankfort after working there as a Processing Operator. He was also owner and operator of Cooper Rentals for over 40 years. His memberships included Christian Life Church and the Clinton County Property Managers Association. He loved his grandchildren and work.

Visitation and Services
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Mowery will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort. Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.

Surviving along with his wife, Carol are his Children: Dave (Lynette) Cooper, Shari (Michael) Johnson, Nyla (Thomas) Henderson, Christine (Jordan) Laughner, and Ryan Huffer, all of Frankfort; Siblings: Bob (Christy) Cooper of Frankfort, Jane Rodriguez of Frankfort, Phyllis Emens of Dayton, Brenda (Phil) Huffer of Kingman, Winston Cooper of Tennessee, Truman Cooper of Tennessee, and Bonnie Curnutt of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Drew, Morgan, Sophia, Kailey, Adalyn, Owen, Seth, Riley, Mason, Dakota, Vicktoria, Haleigh, and Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents along with several brothers & sisters and nieces & nephews.
Mike was a very nice guy and I respected him as a landlord. It is sad that he is gone. He will be greatly missed. Lots of love, thoughts and prayers.
