Mildred “Louise” Hemmerling

Mildred “Louise” Hemmerling, 88, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.

She was born on September 3, 1929 in Clinton County to Andrew Addison & Elsie Mable (Altic) Crum.  She married John P. “Big John” Hemmerling in 1971 in Clinton County and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1993.

She was a 1948 Graduate of Little Jeff High School in Jefferson.  She worked for PR Mallory for 26 years as a machine operator.  She was a farm girl and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, music, playing cards, and family acitivites.

Memorial donations may be made in Louise’s honor to the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Visitation and Services

Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. 

Survived by:

She is survived by her Step-Sons:  Andy Hemmerling of Florida & John Hemmerling of Georgia along with several Nieces and Nephews and over 100 Great Nieces and Nephews. 

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; 7 Brothers:  Ralph Altic, Jack Crum, Fred & Orpha Crum, Pete & Berniece Crum, Gilbert Crum, Milton & Ruth Crum, and James & Florence Crum; and 3 Sisters: Grace & Reldo Freeman, Betty & Bob Scott, and Joan & Glen Albitz.

    I am so sorry to hear of Mildred’s passing. She was a spitfire, and I always enjoyed seeing her. Patty, you were such a blessing to her, which I know she loves you dearly. Prayers to all.

    I am so sad to hear that Louise passed. She was a neighbor of ours for many years when she lived on Freeman Street. She was such a sweetheart. Sending hugs and prayers to all her family. She will be missed.

    I just found out that Aunt Louise had passed away. I don’t get the paper and nobody told me. I remember playing cards with her it was so much fun! She was one of my favorite Aunt’s! She will be dearly missed! I Love You Aunt Louise!!! Fly high!
