Pearl G. Banta, 90, formerly of Colfax, passed away May 16, 2011 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. She was born January 27, 1921 in Boone County to John R. and Stella A. (Hill) Bowen. She married Delbert H. Knox in 1938 and they divorced. She then married Charles Banta in 1951 in Whitestown and he preceded her in death in 1985.;Mrs. Banta attended Colfax High School and worked for 18 years at Mallory Timers.;Survivors include 2 Sons: Gerald Knox (Wife: Donna) of Lafayette and Harold Knox (Companion: Lilly) of Frankfort, 5 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren;She was preceded in death by a son: Frank Knox, a sister: Viola Bowen, and a brother: Robert Bowen.;Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Plainview Cemetery.
