Rita Lyman

Rita Jo Lyman age 63 of Colfax passed away January 24, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. Born February 24, 1946 in Lafayette to George & Reba (Miller) Scarlett. She worked several years at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Clarks Hill and then Houston Healthcare in Crawfordsville until retiring in 2007. She married LeRoy P. Lyman on December 2, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana and he survives. Also surviving is a daughter: Paula Crews (Lewis) of Frankfort, 5 sons: LeRoy Lyman Jr. (Pam) of Brookston, Tim Lyman (Kathy) of Lafayette, Brian Lyman (Stacie) of Frankfort, and Roger Lyman and Mark Lyman both of Colfax. 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive as does 2 brothers: Greg Scarlett and Jeff Scarlett (Lisa) both of Lafayette, and 3 sisters: Brenda McDonald (Allen) and Roxanne Thurston (Gary) both of Lafayette and Glenda Buckles (Charles) of Colfax. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Justin Crews. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday January 28, 2010 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax. Friends may call 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
