Shirley J. Gerald, 76, passed away 12:16 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Center.;She was born June 29, 1935 in Rankin, Ill., the daughter of John and Louvena (Kessler) Harper. She married Darwin B. Gerald on Oct. 29, 1955 in Lebanon, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2002.;Mrs. Gerald worked for more than 20 years at Peter Paul Cadbury before retiring from Piemonte Foods in Frankfort. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.;She is survived by two sons: Darwin B. (Barbara) Gerald Jr., Frankfort, Duane A. (Mindy) Gerald, Frankfort, five grandchildren: Josh Gerald of Indianapolis and Morgan Gerald, Chelsea Gerald, Kourtney Gerald and C.J. Gerald all of Frankfort.;She was preceded in death by a brother, John Harper.;Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the Archer-Weston Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Frankfort High School Athletic Department with envelopes available at the funeral home.
